Biografía:
Fernando Palao holds a Ph.D in Economics and Quantitative Finance (summa cum laude award) by University of Valencia, University of Castilla-La Mancha, University of País Vasco and University Complutense de Madrid and M.Sc. in Quantitative Finance and Banking by the same universities. His research activity is based on fields such as behavioral finance, market microstructure and market efficiency in commodity markets. His research has been awarded with the special mention Red Eléctrica de España to the second best research article presented by a young researcher at the XII Congress of the Spanish Association for Economic Energy in 2017 and with the accesit to the Santander Financial Institute (SANFI) Doctoral Thesis Award in 2019. The output of this research has been published in some of top international energy and finance journals like “Applied Energy” or “Energy Economics”. Combine his research with the private industry working as Sr. Trade Control Analyst in Repsol Trading or Sr. Trade Control in Repsol Wholesale and Gas Trading.
